TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A public hearing on the 30 percent Design Plan for the Broadway widening project is happening on Tuesday, April 5.

The plan for the project is to widen East Broadway Boulevard from its current two lanes going east and west, to three lanes between North Euclid Avenue and North Country Club Road. Included in the project are bike lanes, new sidewalks, and several bus pullouts.

At this latest meeting the Tucson City Council will hear from the city's transportation department on the 30 percent design of the project, which was released last month.

The plan will be presented at the Board of Supervisors Hearing Room, Pima County Administration Building (130 West Congress, 1st Floor), beginning at or after 5:30 p.m.
