TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - It's well known by now that if anyone mentions Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump along with any sort of criticism, he doesn't take it lightly.

Pope Francis sparked quite the debate on Thursday when he announced Trump is "not Christian" if he wants to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border to keep immigrants out of the U.S.

"A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian," he said. "This is not in the Gospel."

Trump immediately fired back, calling Pope Francis "disgraceful" for questioning his faith.

"I am proud to be a Christian and as President I will not allow Christianity to be consistently attacked and weakened, unlike what is happening now, with our current President," Trump wrote on Facebook. "No leader, especially a religious leader, should have the right to question another man's religion or faith. They are using the Pope as a pawn and they should be ashamed of themselves for doing so, especially when so many lives are involved and when illegal immigration is so rampant."

As usual, thousands of Pope Francis and Trump supporters took to Twitter to take sides.

The most popular argument: The fact that the Vatican is surrounded by walls, and has been for centuries.

Many sided with Pope Francis, attacking Trump instead.

And of course, many chimed into to the conversation simply for the entertainment.

So who do you side with?
