TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Fire crews are battling a wildfire in the Santa Rita Mountains at Gunsite Pass, which is south of Tucson and roughly 15 miles east of Green Valley.

Heidi Schewel, spokeswoman for the U.S. Forest Service Coronado National Forest, said the fire was between 75 and 95 acres at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9. As of 5:15 p.m., it had grown to 100 acres.

No structures are currently threatened.

"Firefighters on the ground are making good progress today, however as conditions become hotter and drier this afternoon, fire behavior may increase," Schewel said in a news release. "Two additional crews, four engines and more overhead have been ordered to support the suppression efforts."

Investigators believe the fire is human-caused but it is under investigation.
