TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Foothills District deputies are warning the public about a recent stranger danger incident that occurred near Romero and Wetmore Roads, according to a press release.

Just after 3 p.m. on Friday, an 11-year-old boy was walking home from school when two men in a car pulled up to him.

The passenger reportedly got out of the car and told the boy, "Come over here. Get in the car."

The boy told deputies he ran from the men and to a relative's home nearby.

Deputies circulated the area looking for the suspects, but were unable to find them.

The driver is described as Hispanic, and the passenger is described as Caucasian.

They were in a white passenger car, possible similar to a Ford Crown Victoria.

"We would like to remind everyone to talk to their children about what to do if they are approached by strangers while by themselves," the release stated. "Fortunately, in this instance, the young man acted very quickly and was able to get away safely."
