Douglas radio personality Henderson dies

DOUGLAS, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Howard "Mr. Wonderful" Henderson, a radio legend in Douglas, passed away Friday morning.

Public Information Officer Jose Duarte said Henderson died following a battle with cancer.

Henderson worked at 96.5 KDAP-FM for many years and was known as "The Voice of Douglas."

"Mr. Henderson was very well liked and considered a local hero who help out with radio remotes any time there were fundraising, DHS sports or parades," Duarte told Tucson News Now. "Everyone knew him or of him because when you said how are you, his reply was always 'Wonderful.'"
