PIMA COUNTY, AZ ( Tucson News Now) - Pima County residents headed to the polls Tuesday to decide on almost $800 million in bond propositions.

According to Pima County officials, the following results include more than 30 percent of the precincts and 100 percent of the mail-in ballots and all of the propositions seem to have failed.

"I am shocked by the outcome," said Larry Hecker, chair of the Pima County bond advisory committee since 2002. "I was feeling so great because of coalition and unification that I saw."

Marla Closen of NO on Pima Bonds, said many people have fixed incomes, and can't afford if they're property taxed again.

"We just don't feel that our county can afford them right now," Closen said.
