TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Pima Community College has extended the deadline for students to add Fall classes, according to a recent release.

Officials are extending the date to support students affected by the Sun Tran strike.

"The bus strike presents a difficult situation for many of our students, and all of us -- faculty, staff and administrators -- need to be prepared to work with students individually to help them get through this," PCC Chancellor Lee D. Lambert said in a message to PCC employees on Tuesday, August 25. "Patience, caring, and helpfulness will go a long way toward ensuring our students can get to class and be successful."

This change will allow students to register for the 16 week, first eight week and first five week classes for the Fall semester, until 11:59 p.m September 8.

Students will also have to pay for those classes by 11:59 p.m. on the day they register and PCC offers several options for paying that bill.

More information on dropping, adding or withdrawing can be found on the PCC website.
